Understanding Income Tax is a comprehensive introduction to the Canadian income tax regime. Discussing basic concepts in personal and corporate taxation and providing comprehensive tax problems relating to each chapter, it serves as a valuable text book for professors and students.

Numerical examples and tax calculations are used throughout the text to illustrate the operation of the Income Tax Act, and reference is made to CRA Forms, Interpretation Bulletins and Information Circulars to clarify the application of the Act. The extensive Topical Index facilitates easy access to information, thus reducing research time.

Understanding Income Tax features over 200 problems for students to test their knowledge and comprehension of the material. Solutions are available for professors only.
